How Do You Choose Corporate Christmas Coffee Gifts in Australia?

Three Grounded Drops drip coffee bag pouches from the Sample Box: Hodophile, Nemophilist and Wayfarer.

For corporate Christmas coffee gifts in Australia, choose drip bags when you don't know what brewing gear staff or clients own, and beans when you know their setup and preferred grind. Give each person a complete pack, and order well before your office shuts for Christmas.

Our family started roasting coffee in the garage in 2014, and we founded Grounded Drops in 2018 with drip bags. We air roast to order in NSW, put the roast date on every label, and we grind ground orders the day before they ship.

What should you find out before choosing staff or client gifts?

Start with who receives a gift, your budget per person and where you'll hand it over. Then ask whether recipients have a coffee machine or grinder, and whether they prefer milk coffee, black coffee or decaf.

A short spreadsheet helps: recipient, coffee preference, format, quantity and delivery location. Mark unknown preferences clearly rather than guessing a grind for an entire team. If you're collecting addresses, check them before placing the order, especially when people will leave the office ahead of Christmas.

Keep the gift budget separate from any outer box, card, packing materials and delivery costs. Decide whether you're giving a finished retail pack to each person or assembling your own hamper. That choice matters when you compare Pantry Bags with individually wrapped Travel Packs.

Which GD coffee format suits a workplace Christmas gift?

Travel Packs suit recipients who want to take individual brews to work or away on holiday; a Sample Box suits someone who wants to explore different roasts. Pantry Bags suit regular use in one place, while beans suit a recipient whose brewing setup you know.

Choosing a GD format for your Christmas order
Format Current pack options Where I'd use it Check first
Travel Packs 10, 20, 40 or 100 drip bags A take-home gift or individually wrapped brews in your own hamper One roast per pack; a big box is bulk coffee, not separate gifts
Sample Box 21 drip bags across 3 roasts A complete tasting gift for one recipient The selection is Wayfarer, Nemophilist and Hodophile
Pantry Bags 12, 24 or 36 drip bags A whole pack for someone's kitchen or a shared office supply Bags share a nitrogen-flushed pack; they aren't individually wrapped
Coffee beans 250 g, 500 g or 1 kg; whole or ground A gift for someone with a known brewing setup Ask for their grind and preferred coffee

If you split a 100-bag Travel Pack across a team, you'll need your own bags or boxes to present each share. Keep Pantry Bags in their shared pack.

Matching recipients to GD formats
Recipient Format I'd choose Why it fits
Client Sample Box, or Bunji in Pantry Bags or beans A tasting selection, or an Australian single origin for a local coffee story; ask about brewing gear before choosing beans
Remote or spread-out staff Gift card Delivered by email, with no expiry date, so there's no parcel delivery to plan
Office kitchen Pantry Bags, or beans for the office machine Shared supplies kept separate from individual gifts
Mixed tastes Sample Box Wayfarer, Nemophilist and Hodophile in one pack
Decaf drinker Gadabout in Pantry Bags or beans A named decaf choice rather than a general selection

How do you choose coffee when everyone likes something different?

Ask for preferences where you can, then group your order by those answers. If someone enjoys trying coffee and hasn't named a favourite, our Sample Box gives them a selection without needing a grinder.

The Sample Box contains seven Wayfarer drip bags, seven Nemophilist and seven Hodophile. Wayfarer is a Colombia single origin with dark fruit and subtle chocolate notes. Nemophilist is a Kenya single origin with blackcurrant, walnut and cocoa notes. Hodophile is our milk blend.

Don't put decaf requests into the general selection and hope they'll suit. Gadabout is available through our Pantry Bags and coffee beans products; check the selected variant when ordering. Travel Packs currently offer Wayfarer, Nemophilist and Hodophile.

For beans, ask which brewer the recipient uses. Our beans come whole or ground for espresso, stovetop, Aeropress, filter or plunger. Choose Whole Beans for someone who wants to use their own grinder. If you can't establish their preferences, our emailed gift card lets them choose. It is delivered by email and has no expiry date.

How should you budget and count a team order?

Count complete gifts first, then check the selected product and variant price against your budget. Keep any coffee for the office kitchen on a separate line so it doesn't get counted as someone's take-home gift.

At our 24 October 2026 price check, a 10-bag Travel Pack in the listed roasts is $23.10 and a Sample Box is $41.70. Those are retail product prices, not a corporate quote or a delivered gift budget. Check the live product page again when you're ready to order.

Write the quantity in both packs and bags if you're assembling hampers. That makes it easier to spot an order that covers the coffee but leaves too few complete gifts. Add spare gifts only if you expect late additions to the list.

At the time of writing, we offer Australian delivery, with free shipping and a free gift on orders over $80 after discounts. For larger business orders, use our wholesale enquiry page to discuss pricing and minimums.

When should you order Christmas coffee gifts?

Work back from your office shutdown, not Christmas Day. Our shipping policy estimates dispatch within around 2 business days, a little longer during busy periods. After dispatch, most domestic orders arrive within 2 to 8 business days depending on location and carrier; WA, NT and remote areas can take up to 12 business days. These are estimates, so order early in December and allow extra time for packing and handing out gifts.

If recipients work across several locations, decide who will receive the order and how the gifts will reach each person. Include your quantities, delivery location and handover date in any larger-order enquiry.

Our wholesale page includes enquiries for corporate gifting and custom or branded packs. The form is set up for wholesale accounts, so choose "Gift boxes / hampers / corporate gifting", tick "Custom or branded packs" if you want them, and tell us your handover date.

What brewing note should go on the gift tag?

Copy this short note onto your drip-bag gift tag: "Open the drip bag, hang its paper wings over your mug and pour water at 93°C in stages. Let it drain, lift out the bag and add milk if you like." For more detail, share our drip-bag brewing guide.

Quick answers: what else should you know?

What coffee gift suits staff whose brewing setup I don't know?

Drip bags need a mug and hot water, so you don't need to know which machine someone owns. Choose Travel Packs for individually wrapped brews or a Sample Box for a selection of three roasts.

Are Pantry Bags individually wrapped?

No. Pantry Bags share a nitrogen-flushed pack. Travel Packs seal each drip bag in its own sachet.

What's in the GD Sample Box?

The Sample Box contains 21 drip bags: seven Wayfarer, seven Nemophilist and seven Hodophile. It suits a recipient who wants to try those three roasts.

Can I enquire about a larger corporate Christmas order?

Yes. Use our wholesale enquiry page with your quantities, preferred products, delivery location and required arrival date. Confirm pricing, minimums and any custom packing arrangements before ordering.

Does GD deliver coffee gifts within Australia?

Yes, we offer Australian delivery. At the time of writing, orders over $80 after discounts receive free shipping and a free gift. After dispatch, most domestic orders arrive within an estimated 2 to 8 business days depending on location and carrier; WA, NT and remote areas can take up to 12 business days. Order early in December, well before your office shutdown, and allow extra time during busy periods.
