How drip bags work
Real coffee. No machine. Five steps.
Drip bags are real ground specialty coffee in a paper filter — the same brewing method as a pour-over, just held by your mug. Here's how to get the best cup, every time.
Five-step brew guide
From packet to perfect cup.
No machine, no plunger, no barista. Five steps and you're done.
Open the top
Tear the top off along the OPEN HERE strip.
Open the wings
Fold the two paper side wings outward.
Hang it on your mug
Rest the wings over the rim. Wide mug? Push the handles together for a firmer hinge.
Pour
Bloom with a splash (about 30ml), wait 30 seconds, then pour to the top and let it filter through. Repeat to taste.
Enjoy
Lift the bag out, add milk if you like, and enjoy.
Water: bring it to a near-boil (about 93°C) and let it rest a few seconds before pouring, so you don't scorch the grounds. Strength: more water makes a milder cup; fewer, smaller pours make it stronger. Big or wide mug? Push the two side handles together to make a firmer hinge over the rim.
Travel Packs vs Pantry Bags
Two formats. Same coffee. Pick the one that fits.

Brewing questions
Common brewing questions
How much water do I use?
A mug up to about 300ml. Start with a small bloom pour (around 30ml) to wet the grounds, then top up to the top of the bag and let it drain through. Repeat until your mug is full.
What water temperature is best?
Near-boil, about 93°C. Let the kettle rest a few seconds after it clicks off before pouring — water straight off the boil can scorch the grounds.
How do I make it stronger or weaker?
Do a 30-second bloom first, then pour in stages. Less water and fewer pours make it stronger; more water makes it milder. Your cup, your call.
Can I add milk?
Yes. Finish your pours, lift the drip bag out, then add milk to taste.
My mug is too wide for the handles.
Easy fix: push the two side handles together to create a stronger hinge so the bag grips the rim. Any sturdy mug up to about 300ml works.
Is this just instant coffee?
No. Instant is dehydrated then rehydrated. A drip bag holds real ground specialty coffee in a paper filter, and the water passes through actual grounds — exactly like a pour-over. Only the holder changes.
