Grounded Drops started in a garage — and ended up everywhere.

It began in 2014 with a passion for great coffee and a small roaster in the garage. It got out of hand fast: I was on construction sites with my home-roasted coffee in a thermos, and before long the whole crew wanted a cup — the reactions said it all.

Then, on a 2018 trip to Japan, it clicked. We found drip coffee bags — a brilliant way to get genuinely good coffee anywhere, no machine needed. That was the lightbulb: take the coffee we'd spent years perfecting and make it that easy for everyone.

What makes us different

  • Roasted to order. We don't roast for a warehouse shelf — your coffee is roasted after you order, then shipped fresh from NSW.
  • Air-roasted. Our air-roasting method carries the chaff away as it roasts, for a cleaner, smoother, richer cup — without the bitterness or the sour hit to your stomach.
  • Proper specialty coffee. Single origins and blends chosen for the cup, not the price tag — as no-machine drip bags, or whole-bean and ground for your machine or grinder.
  • Built for real life. Home, the office, the van, a hotel room, halfway up a mountain. If you've got a cup and hot water, you've got great coffee.
